awesome!

I have been working out for a week now and i lost 2 pounds but i know its just water weight.

Congrats! I think the healthy rate of weight loss is about 2 lbs a week, so you're doing good. I did WW a couple years ago when my hubby was in Iraq, and I lost about 23 during those 7 months. Now, I need to lose that (and +) again. Just need to join a gym or WW again and find a partner to keep me motivated! Good luck!

I go to pro fitness.4-5 times a week. I went on discoveryhealth.com found lots of good recipes. I just watch my portions. I eat every two hours. My snack are no more then 200 calories. Lots of water!

I have done weight watchers for a few months. Have lost a few pounds. Wasn't as serious as some about watching what I eat ,that is why I only lost a few pounds. It did teach me portion control and watching calories & sugar. Will join World gym next. I think I really need the exercise more than the weight watcher right now. I understand the motivation factor. I need to talk to myself some times. Would love to have company working out at the gym.

Hi,

I lost 93lbs using WW about 3 years ago. I then went to Grad School for 2 years and stopped paying attention to what I was eating, I gained about 50 of those lbs back. I then started again in the beginning of October and have lost 35lbs since then. I have about 20 more to go! I have found great success combining the WW points system with a steady gym workout. I have not joined the meetings since moving to MD a month ago but have found doing it on my own more difficult. The meetings and weighing in on a scale in front of someone else somehow makes me more accountable. I have many WW cookbooks, recipes and the older instruction books. If you need any help or questions regarding the materials feel free to ask! I am just not familiar with their latest way of doing things, I believe it is called the Momentum program! Good Luck with your weight loss journey Soccer Mom, you are doing great so far. WW recommends .5-2lbs a week is a healthy amount.

Here's a website that was recommended on my P90X forums:

Free Calorie Counter, Diet & Exercise Journal - MyFitnessPal.com

Register, fill in the fields with your goals and they come up with cals/proteins/carbs etc requirements for your diet. Mine is calling for 1440 cals a day but I've been in the 1500-1800 cal range for the last 2 months. I'm burning 500-700 cals per workout and that is 5 days a week, I don't think I'm burning a lot on my yoga day but I haven't worn my monitor on yoga day.
