Weighty Issues

Update for the current decade......

I got up to around 220 at my peak/worst.

Finally got serious. Dusted off the willpower. Hit the gym with regularity. Did a concept 2 rowing machine. Alternated between 2,000 & 5,000 meter rows. Tossed in a few 10Ks when I was feeling particularly energetic. Did mostly weight machines with a few dumbbell exercises included.

I did a lot of walking. I was without a car most of 3 months. I was living in a hilly area. I got out almost daily and pounded the pavement. No alcohol! A generous portion of McLovin regularly didn't hurt either. YMMV

This morning my scale told me 181. So more or less I've dropped 35 pounds since December. It wasn't easy for sure. The first 25 were a lot easier than the last 10. I'm gonna try and hold here for as long as possible.

4+ months.

I knew I started this a while ago, I just didn't realize just how looooooong ago. I've been battling on & off for a decade. I knew what had to be done, just never had the motivation to do it I guess.
