Weird crap happening with my puter

crabcake

But wait, there's more...
I keep getting these "do you wanna continue running scripts on this age?" messages, and some words are underlined with a bolded green line. When I move my mouse over them, I see in the bottom preview screen thingy some "keyword search site" ...

has something taken over my puter and if so, how do I eradicate it like an islamic extremist freakazoid?

TIA.

I just tinkered with it a bit, found some bogus lycos program had self-installed somehow; got rid of it, rebooted, but it's still acting up. Still asking for the scripts thing ... I ran McAfee as well. Nothing came up as 'infected'.

I'm hesitant to call the IT peeps b/c the chic there is wierd. She is all fidgety and crap like she's in desperate need of a toke on the crack pipe when she comes in here.

Adware/Spyware

I don't know that I can download those ... they tightened up (supposedly) our network to keep peeps from d/l'ing stuff like IMers and things a while back (which is why I don't have it at work anymore :bawl:). In fact, I think they installed some sort of 'adware' thing a while back for me. :ohwell:

I have a meeting to go to, then I'll call the crack addict IT chic. :ohwell:

At least I 'rebooted' and ran virus scan already. That should get me some points.

If they already installed a spyware killer, maybe the defs. need to be updated and a scan run with that...
