Oh my! I was thinking pig #3 was going to be male. I agree with keeping them separate until #3 can sleep through the night. But to be honest when I had #2, #1 woke up when he did (separate rooms). When I had #3 both #1 and #2 woke up when she did (separate rooms). Depends on the sleep patterns of the older children.

I'd have to agree with CC...

Piggie #1 may get jealous if she feels left out, however, you're the momma and momma always knows best. If the sleeping situation that you decide on doesn't work out, there's alway plenty of time for a switch-a-roo.

And speaking of Piggie #3...

Got any names picked out yet?

Doug and Kyle (boy and girl) shared a room out of necessity until Kyle was 3 and we bought our house. It was never a problem her waking up as an infant because he slept right through it.

Alex and Em (both girls) shared until they were 9 and 7. Occasionally they would giggle instead of sleep, but so what? A little sister bonding never hurt anyone.

Marcia, Jan and Cindy shared, all three of them, and they turned out okay.

I say keep #2 and #3 in the same room.. If it becomes a problem, you can always move #3 out until she sleep thru the night.

Having #2 and #3 together will be less mess and once they start complaining or fighting then and only then would I move them. Having kids share a room teaches kids to share and compromise IMO.

I am a middle pig and never had my own room until oldest pig moved out.

Based on this, Jabba, I would put all three in separate rooms. You don't want piggy 2 growing up to grumpy and attention seeking.
