Yeah, that's not a slippery slope at all. lady. Taking away private vehicles could save more than 30,000 lives a year, is that worth it? Banning fatty foods and smoking could save tens of thousands lives a year, lets go with that.

It’s been estimated that around 1% of murders are committed with legally acquired guns, and as much as 6% of all gun crimes happen with legally acquired guns.

This number appears EVEN SMALLER than the total NUMBER of guns, because of that 460 million, a tiny fraction ever are used in crime, legally acquired or not.

This clearly demonstrates one thing - guns are no more the cause of crime than utensils are the cause of obesity. Those numbers mentioned also make another thing clear - taking AWAY the legal (and constitutionally protected) right to bear arms has almost zero effect on the availability of guns to criminals.

If you intend to heist a bank, you don’t use YOUR OWN CAR to getaway - you STEAL one. When my wife and I went to college in Vermont in the late 70's, there were an estimated 3 Million firearms of all sorts for the about 500,000 populations. That did include Class 3 firearms. At that time one could rent a locker in the campus armory for personal firearms. Seniors could keep a handgun in their room.

I was reading about Nancy Pelosi running for the House again , and she said she was running for the money.
The campaign funds.---------------and she didn't need them to get herself elected she wanted the funds so she could buy the votes of other democrats by donating that money to them.
It's the same with her butt licking friend Steny Hoyer. Their chest of funds is what they use to buy other Democrats.

The horrible thing about this is that it is legal.
