What 2nd A?

Direct violation of the 2nd A. She says she expects legal challenges. I have an idea, if she wins the legal challenge then the carry ban can continue but if when she loses she is charged with a federal crime of violating the Constitution and once convicted she is sentenced to a stay at a federal jail.

She must be drunk with power to think her edict will be obeyed by the thugs and drugs and the general population will be safer if she takes away guns from law abiding citizens. The only people safer will be the criminals. They know their victim isn';t carrying. F-idiot biatch.

Power with Control
Miranda Viscoli, co-president of New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence, praised the governor’s order as necessary in order to reduce gun violence.

"If it saves one life, then it’s worth doing," Viscoli said.

Yeah, that's not a slippery slope at all. lady. Taking away private vehicles could save more than 30,000 lives a year, is that worth it? Banning fatty foods and smoking could save tens of thousands lives a year, lets go with that.

Except the accidental shooting, for which the parents should be charged, the others are criminal activity, and those folks are not gonna comply with a ban :)

What possible good could come from suspending the 2nd. Amendment for 30 days in 2 counties.?
Whatever problem brought this on will still exist 30 days from now.

A test maybe? See how far they can go. Thirty years ago this would have been met with complete outrage. Twenty years ago it would cause debates. Ten years ago it would have been met with tacit approval as an emergency action. Today they want to see how reactive the people are to being deprived of their Constitutional rights. The mass obedience to the COVID mandates and shutdowns indicated to the left that the people are becoming apathetic and nearly ready for total sub-servience. The Jan 6 sentences handed down have encourage them.

There’s an estimated 460 MILLION GUNS legally owned in the country.

It’s been estimated that around 1% of murders are committed with legally acquired guns, and as much as 6% of all gun crimes happen with legally acquired guns.

This number appears EVEN SMALLER than the total NUMBER of guns, because of that 460 million, a tiny fraction ever are used in crime, legally acquired or not.

This clearly demonstrates one thing - guns are no more the cause of crime than utensils are the cause of obesity. Those numbers mentioned also make another thing clear - taking AWAY the legal (and constitutionally protected) right to bear arms has almost zero effect on the availability of guns to criminals.

If you intend to heist a bank, you don’t use YOUR OWN CAR to getaway - you STEAL one. If you intend to kill people - and you’re not some lone killer - you get one illegally, you steal one, you find someone to supply you with guns. You DON’T buy a bunch at a dealer and then shoot up a rival gang.

When my wife and I went to college in Vermont in the late 70's, there were an estimated 3 Million firearms of all sorts for the about 500,000 populations. That did include Class 3 firearms. At that time one could rent a locker in the campus armory for personal firearms. Seniors could keep a handgun in their room.

Boo hoo hoo. I don't feel sorry for them because they re-elected her knowing full well what she was. They deserve what they get.

But what about the law abiding citizens that didn't vote for her? Are their rights over because the left re-elected her? Since when are Constitutional rights on the ballot? I also believe that many that did vote for her did not envision this event and would change their vote if they could.

When the Marxists take over your state your only other option is to move. That's it. Once these people get their tentacles wrapped around something they will never let go.

The people who did vote for her knew damn good and well what they were voting for because of the way she behaved during the pandemic. She's not exactly been hiding it. How much more fascist do you get than quarantining a whole city and posting armed guards to ensure compliance?

I get your point but what happens when we
run out of places to move to? At what point do we stand our ground and resist and revolt?

I was reading about Nancy Pelosi running for the House again , and she said she was running for the money.
The campaign funds.---------------and she didn't need them to get herself elected she wanted the funds so she could buy the votes of other democrats by donating that money to them.
It's the same with her butt licking friend Steny Hoyer. Their chest of funds is what they use to buy other Democrats.

The horrible thing about this is that it is legal.
I have said before, that when a persons election is over all campaign funds not used should go to the treasury so that at the next election al candidates start out with zero.

At some point in the near future this will come to a head and we will need to stop the tyranny. Blood will be shed.

Do you really think so? Americans appear to have an enormous appetite for tyranny and fascism. We should be rioting in the streets about the incarceration of everyone who was even near DC on J6, and yet we're not. We should be tearing down every federal building over the draconian sentence of the Proud Boys, but we're not. We should be putting their heads on a pike for all these ridiculous charges they're bringing against Trump, but we're not.

They are literally jailing their political opponents like some third world shithole, and Americans are allowing it.

Hell, Democrats riot in the streets and burn down whole cities when a butterfly flaps its wings in South America. What will it take for Republicans and independents to step up?

The country is rotting from the inside out and will eventually fail, disintegrate etc. History has recorded no other outcome. Ever.
