Just before 2:00 I heard a loud boom on the bridge. Some sort of vehicle was carrying a crane or maybe earth mover. That driver had a very bad afternoon. SMNEWSNET had a short blurb about no injuries. Traffic is slowly moving now. Glad no one was hurt. The people stuck at least had a great view.

I heard that from my house, had no idea what I had heard.

It was loud. Usually, the bridge sounds don't get my attention. It's like white noise. I do notice when it's quiet.

When the house in Callaway was built I cried for a month. Then the quiet became normal. Now the quiet means something happened.

That means I came home.

Pretty quiet here on St. George's Island. I did hear a car go by about an hour ago...
Here too, although there is the occasional hum of a Tesla going to the exclusive, luxury townhouses at the end of the street. That's not really very annoying since the drivers who live in them rarely stop at the stop signs.

What a long day and not just the traffic. I left the garage on base at 3:50 to go to the chiro. What should take 10 minutes, tops, took 20+. I left there at 5 and decided to make a stop at sisters house because traffic was still FUBAR and she lives around the corner. I left her house at 545 and didn't get home until around 6. On a good day, we can get to each others homes in 7-10 minutes. I leave at 5:30am for work and only takes me 15 minutes. I'm tired. My neighbor usually gets home about 5:30 but didn't roll in until 6:05.

There was another accident in front of GMHS that further clogged up the roads.

I crossed into SMC around 445pm. We sat for maybe 10 mins, then pretty much, business as usual.
