Seriously, although I like the name Peyton, I think it's becoming too trendy. Another example is Maddie--I know at least three families who used that name. Girls' names seem to have a short shelf life. At one time, names like Bertha and Matilda were considered to be sweet and feminine.

Just a question...but shouldn't a name have 'meaning'? I mean like 'real' meaning. Maybe I'm just all hyped up on the meaning of things but I just wouldn't want to pick my child's name out of a hat, it would have to mean something spectacular. I mean it's my child, his name should at least 'mean' a little something.
