as long as you don't need to go into the Pax River branch office - they are the slowest bunch of tellers I have ever encountered.
Nice
But slooooooooooooow.

CPFUC is nice, it's a small town bank that offers many services and seems to still be growing (in it's offereings). Navy FCU offers more branches around the country. My only complaint is with the local branch, there always seems to be a long line, that moves slow.

The branch across from Toyota hardly ever has a big line. Most I've had to wait was for five people.

NFCU for the win! Used to be with BOA, they are scum!

NFCU will give you up to $10 back each month on atm fee's when you withdraw from non NFCU atm's on your checking account... Most 7-11's are NFCU friendly and you do not get charged using those atm's, same with WaWa.

Right when I opened my NFCU account they had just finished building a new location in Accokeek 2 miles from me, so that was sweet!

Since BOA is a piece of crap and wants to start charging me money for using my debt cards....

Who would you go with Navy Fed ? Cedar Point ? PNC ?

Thanks :buddies:

Not sure if you're only looking at the three banks you mentioned, but I've gone to M&T Bank since 2006 in both MD and while in college in PA and have never had a problem with them at all... no fees, very nice employees, etc. Just a suggestion!

I am impressed. You must have good timing. I have been in there when they have had 15/20 people in line and moved very, very slowly. I have been to other Navy FCU branches with that number of people in line and moved very quickly compared to this branch. All in all, still I think Navy FCU is still good (I t hink because the other branches were in true military towns, not that it should make a difference).

It depends on what type of account you have with BoA. I was about to change banks yesterday but decided to call and ask if my account qualifies for the fees. No fees for me.

From what I've read eventually most banks will be charging for debit purchases. It just a matter of time.

USAA is awesome if you can get in with them, otherwise NFCU is pretty good. The Pax branch sucks because their management lacks proper leadership but similar to USAA, you can pretty much do everything with NFCU without ever going to a branch.

Another USAA vote from me. We have them for bank accounts, and car and home insurance and I love them. Never had a single issue to date (and it's been 10+ years).

I've used Community Bank of Tri County for about 10 years and I've never had issues with them, yet.

When I go to the branch, it's normally around 11:30am. I was surprised at first but it's been that way each time. Last week I went in at 11:40am and didn't make it to the rope area before one of the tellers called me over.

Does USAA have a local branch or is it all done in cyber space?

No, but I thought I saw a USAA ATM somewhere in the Lexington Park area (not that it matters since they refund ATM fees anyway). I guess it depends on preference. I do not mind everything being done via computers.

I don't either but every now and then, the availability of a branch can come in handy.
