I was wondering how this would turn out. I was hoping for more justice, guess the good 'ole boy club is still running strong and silent ...and that is a damn shame. This is one hillbilly who ain't fooled and will remember on voting day!!!

On my way home today I saw signs saying he was running for senate. I remember the day a family scandal like this would have lead to a candidate removing himself from the race. Guess those days are gone.

I don't think McKay should be held responsible (or remove himself from the race, etc etc) for what his IDIOT son does/did. McKay is a pretty good guy, with a pretty effed up son (which, I'm sure is part of his fault since he raised him, but at this point, there's nothing more he can do).

Screwing up so royally as a father has got to be a reflection on his personal integrity and ability to judge/handle situations, wouldn't you think...:bubble:

If you knew him, no. I know both of them and honest to GOD, I have no idea how his son got to be so screwed up. He was just one of those kids where, if you said one thing, he'd do the exact opposite, no matter what sort of punishment his received, etc. He just LOVED to rebel, even as a child.

But, to each his own, right? That's why everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Not to mention that he held onto the counterfeit money in a safe and did not turn it over to the authorities until it came out that he had taken it from his kid. I wish I could quote this but I read it in the Enterprise when the whole thing became public.

You're right--I forgot about that. That was totally wrong.
OK, so he's not an angel (no one said he was), I'm just saying that he's an overall good guy with an awful son. Not that he didn;'t have ANYTHING to do with it, but if you knew Eric, you would understand....
