So I clicked on the video link and my Alexa came to life when she heard the Alexa in this thread and said the same thing. I think there's some disconnect because I just asked her was Donald Trump shot. She said according to Rueters Donald Trump was shot in the ear, that someone was killed and the suspect was killed.

So if you ask her was Donald Trump really shot she says no but if you ask her was Donald Trump shot she says yes.. And if you ask her was Donald Trump really shot on July 13, 2024 she says I don't know that one. It's all how you frame the question w/Alexa. I asked her when Donald Trump was shot - she didn't have an answer. I asked was Donald Trump shot in the ear and she said no it was not reported that he was shot in the ear but there was an assassination attempt on his life on...I don't know something July. I don't much use her for news; she knows every song I ask her to play and that's all I'm looking for.

My Dad got one and they would randomly hear it talking to no one in the basement. Then one day he got angry and told Alexa she was and idiot and she wouldn't work for him ever again. If he asked a question she said something like, "I do not work to your satisfaction. Contact your repair person." Or something to that effect.
