He was going to swap Tony and Alan, but then Mark got hot and knocked off 2 wins in 5 weeks.

I think Rick's just waiting for Kez to become Sprint Cup ready so he can make a driver change.

Your not saying that Keselowski is better than Jr are you ? Sure Jr has his problems ( I think Tony Jr needs to go , But remember I think short tracks are boring  ) but give him time to work them out , don't replace him with a guy who won Dega because he got lucky !

OK, yeah Tony Jr. has never had a handle on this new car of yesterday but you can't put the total blame on the crew chief & crew, they aren't the ones constantly missing the pit stall... Seems like since Jr. got burned up in that ride out west, he's lost his edge. They lucked out in Michigan a couple of years ago and won that race by a half a lap on fuel mileage, other than that he's done nothing. If you can't win in a Hendrick car, you can't win in anything..

If it wasn't for Jr's Dad he would just be another mediocre driver somewhere between the middle and the back of the pack that no one ever talked about very much.

Can you say field filler??...
Two years ago it was DEI's powerplants, what's his excuse now? He's got the best of everything. And don't make Tony Jr. the scapegoat.

Sad but true! The desire to race and win has been replaced by the vast amounts of sponsorship monies thrown his way thanks to the name! I miss Senior, god rest his soul.

You mean kinda like Kerry? :jet:

Junyer and Kerry can't be compared. To his credit, Junyer does have 18 Sprint Cup Series wins and 2 Nationwide Series Championships.

Kerry was able to win a few ARCA races with a Cup Series pit crew and Cup Series equipment.

No you can't compare the two of them. cause Jr. was "carried" by his diddy, and Kerry was not.. He earned everything he got, wasn't on a golden platter.

No, didn't say he was easy on him, but he did have top notch equipment to run. Did Kerry ever have a full season under the DEI banner??

Did you see the Nationwide races he did run? The only reason he was competitive in ARCA is because he had a Cup car, Cup engine and Cup crew (ARCA wasn't being used as a development series then like it is now). I can't begin to image what Stuart Kirby could've done in the same equipment.

Oh, and don't even get me started about Charlotte.

Looks like DEI is trying to help out Jeffrey though.

Look at how they ####ed Trevor Bayne and Sean Caisse to do so. Same way that Childress gave Stephen Leicht the direct screw job to get Austin Dillon in a Nationwide car.

Exactly.

Teams are in the business of using the Nationwide Series for Cup testing, and now they're putting their family members in the Nationwide Series... just like they used to do with ARCA. When that business took over ARCA, all the talent came out of open wheel, USAR and USAC. Now, the same people are ruining the Nationwide Series.

While good drivers like Matt Carter, Stephen Leicht, Sean Caisse, Trevor Bayne, Brian Ickler, Marc Davis, Alli Owens, etc, etc. are without full-time rides; Austin Dillon and Steven Wallace are in Nationwide, and Jeffery Earnhardt is being rushed through the Camping World Series.

This is bad for business. It ruined the ARCA Series, and it won't have a positive impact for NASCAR.
