Let me tell you about this one lady we heard when we were camping. You could hear her 1/2 way across the campground. :shocking:

16 year old. Let one of her 14 YEAR OLD (almost 15) friends DRIVE HER CAR. 14YO posted a "thank you" on my daughter's myspace with a comment like "I hope your mom doesn't find out". When I called my daughter on it, I threw out another friends name "When did you let such and such drive your car"? She replied "She only drove it to so and so's house". I had no idea about that one. That was in October and she still doesn't have her car back and won't for the foreseeable future.

I asked her in front of the 14YO and a bunch of parents (including the 14YO's parents, whom I had already called) and other kids at a football game. :yikes: She was mortified. Her car had been acting up, and I asked her what was wrong with it. She was explaining the problem and I said "Do you think it had anything to do with when such and such drove it? If she could have crawled under the bleachers, she would have. She's lucky I didn't kill her right then and there.

Did the 14yo's parent punish them too?

Thanks for the nauseating reminder of what I have in my future with my 2 young daughters. I think I may just hide in my bed for the teenage years.

Oh yeah. Both got in major trouble.
Sweet!

I was beginning to wonder if I was the only parent who actually punished their kid. Seems absolutely none of my daughters friends ever get reprimanded:lol: Now my daughter on the other hand is grounded for the rest of 8th grade:yay:

I got pretty hot when my 12 year old tried to ride his bike between 2 of our cars only to discover that the space wasn't quite as wide as the handlebars, which left nice, deep scratches to the bare metal down the sides of both vehicles.... All I could do was shake my head and give him the "think about what you're doing and the potential results" speech. Again.

Then there was the time my 14 year old thought it would be cool to put on a halloween mask and videotape himself throwing eggs at his friends house. I actually had to laugh at that one. (after he cleaned it up and apologized). He got his cell phone taken away for 6 months and restricted to the house for a month.

And once when my son was 10 and we were out in the boat fishing in the Susquehanna River. I had a really nice new rod a reel and he asked if he could cast it one time, so I let him. He hauled back to really hurl the lure out there and just threw the whole rod and reel out into the rapids. I managed to fish the rig back out with a treble hook on another line, so it turned out O.K.

Genius daughter, 17 at the time wanted tongue pierced. Deal was I would take her and grades had to be on the money. She screwed that up and I said no to pierce. She got it done anyway and tried to hide it by faking being sick for a week. Went on her my space and bingo. It was all there to be read. Kids are so stupid. Wanted to beat her sensless.
