What is the problem with an open southern border?

Might be that the passport had been expired longer then 5 years, which means starting from scratch.

What is really funny is all the progressives thinking that their numbers will swell from illegal immigration, they are too stupid to realize these people are deeply religious and very conservative.

They don't want illegals voting, they just want them to be counted in the census for federal money and federal representation purposes.

There are a few places where an open border will help the economy. The people legally work and shop on both sides of the border.

Nogales is the example they show on TV a lot.

There is also a Tribal Reservation that crosses the border.

AND... Yes, there are ranches that spread across both sides of the border.

The only person I've seen speaking about shutting the border, is the ranch owner.

On the other hand,.... I'm only watching the local news... from here in Arizona. Y'all would know a lot more.

I do see that the illegal entries are way down. I'm counting only the ones that are making through a hole in the wall. The regular flow is non-existent or meager. So Economically... Nogales has an interest. Historically, the Native Americans and the ranchers have a claim. I'm pretty sure the ranchers are tired of picking up trash... I wonder if they find any money when they pick up the stuff left by migrants who just cannot carry it another mile.

We should have closed borders.... People should be able to use the main entrance and not sneak in through the basement window.

But... hey... what does an old woman from the East Coast know.

Most Arizonans I've met say "then why don't y'all all go back where you came from and leave us alone".

Those people aren't the problem and they largely go through the checkpoint instead of sneaking in. In El Paso and other border cities you see them traveling back and forth with no problem.

It's the drug and trafficking gangs we want out of here. If it weren't for Democrats letting them sneak in to ply their trade and murder our citizens, this wouldn't be an issue.
