What should happen to Lalo?

I don't. If they're here illegally, they have already broken the laws of this country. He is the child of his parents, and they apparently have no respect for the law, so it's highly doubtful they taught him a characteristic that they do not possess. They operate a business without filing the proper taxes and paperwork. Their son got an education on our dime. Lalo himself operates an illegal business.

Please explain to me why I should obey the law, pay my taxes and do the things I'm required to do, in order to support a family that does none of those things?

I see no reason to add another incentive to the invitation for the illegals to sneak on in.

Lalo was born in Mexico and the family moved to California when he was two. His parents are illegal/undocumented aliens. Lalo is in a no-man's-land at the moment. He has lived here all his life and has never visited Mexico.

I don't blame the Mexicans for doing the mass exodus out of Mexico, who the hell wouldn't? I blame the Mexican Gov't for not taking the necessary steps to not be a crap hole, and I blame the US Gov't for not doing a thing to make it undesireable to come here illegally. :shrug:

What happens when the country falls? they have already proven that their choice of action is to bail out and move on to another country and reap the rewards of those before them that made it great.

I think we should identify the countries where the most immigrants come here from - both legal and illegal - then invade those countries and kill their leaders. Obviously they suck if their people are leaving like rats from a sinking ship.

maybe if they stuck around and tried to change things .... sure a few would die @ the hands of drug gangs ... but if you want something bad enough fight for it, don't be a pussy and run away .... Who says the Mexicans illegals wouldn't do the same if asked? The Mexicans are not a new issue as far as immigration in the US. You had the dreaded Irish, the Italians, massive amounts of Jews swarmed over to this country when the countries they lived in went down the crapper.

I really wish they'd make it legal to have indentured servants. That right there could solve a lot of the issue. Pay some Mexicans way over to the Country and sponsor them, they work off their debt to you over a couple of years, and voila', everybody is happy. :shrug:

they unlike the others you mentioned are a drain on our society and basically worthless to us.

There are many Mexicans who come over and bust their hump like crazy and will work doing a lot of hard work that you simply can't get anyone else to do. I for one, have better things to do than pick freakin cabbage or dig ditches. I think the kid in question here has paid taxes and speaks English as well as Hispanic. :shrug:

They do come here to work. However, they don't come her LEGALLY, they don't pay taxes, and they do drop babies. They milk the system for their kids and themselves. Since they don't pay taxes, guess who must pick up the slack. Yep, legal persons who do pay taxes. Too bad we can't round up as many of those free-loaders as possible and ship them back to where ever the hell they came from. Load 'em up move 'em out!

There was a segment on "Nightline" where an illegal immigrant had been given a job with a fast food outlet in Atlanta, and had made a good life for his family. The son, who was born elsewhere, was graduating valedictorian at the local HS.
This is all well, but the main point lost, is that the man and his family entered the country illegally. It is great that they did well, but how about the many, including my own family, who played by the rules and paid our dues?
This lessens our efforts and casts doubts on all immigrants.
