I'd love to go camping withthe horses. I love camping out in a tent, all I need is a good book, maybe a portable cdplayer/radio. No TV or anything needed. A decent bathroom is quite nice, and showers. Has anyone been camping at Antitem (sp?) w/ w/out horses?

Antietam is quite nice, but it is rocky and you'll want to bring the bug spray or go early in the year or later in the year.

Here's a list of places from DNR for trail riding in Maryland -

I hear that Patapsco is gorgeous and lots of fun to ride. I've kayaked Big Gunpowder Falls and it's a nice quite place.

Fair Hill does offer camping and stabling.

The League of Maryland Horsemen (www.lomh.net) do the trails at Patapsco. Use to love doing the competitive trail rides there with my Connemara Horse. Just got up in 2pt. and he just breezed thru the course at a great extended trot. Sure do miss that horse.
