Truthfully, I've never heard of that type of terrier...from looking at the pics, I would've guessed some type of cockapoo mix - or one of the other type mixes that are 'hot' now.We adopted a dog a few months back. We were told she is a cockapoo. We kind of always thought she had some other breed in there because of her size and build (short legs and stocky body). We took her to the groomers yesterday and when we got her back they told us she is a Sealyham Terrier.
I just found this to be very interesting and wondered if this has happened to anyone else. Don't get me wrong, I think she is the best for having adopted at an older aged (7) dog and I know the rescue center we got her from didn't know this. So, I'm not trying to say they tried to deceive us.
This really explains her behavior and demeanor. She fits all the descriptions of a Sealyham Terrier.
If any of our rescue dogs have a slight resemblance to a pit or we think it maybe mixed, it is listed as such. No sense in misleading the public just to place a dog - it is what it is.
