What's going on in Myrtle Beach???

We usually go to Myrtle Beach as a vendor. We set up in the Colonial Mall in No. Myrtle Beach and generally have no problems.

With all that was going on down there, we decided to sit this year out and see what happens.

I guess we made a good decision. Check out these stories:

I really do hate to see this happenning. Myrtle Beach Bike Week was a tradition that I assumed would always be there.

I was down for the ralley. It was a lot less havock than previous years. There were very few bikes and everyony pretty much stayed in Murrells Inlet.

Heard about this from a friend. North Myrtle and the town itself cancelled Bike Week. I thought they were going to allow it to go on in Horry County South of Myrtle. Apparently not. I heard that even the Harley dealer in Myrtle closed up and moved South of Myrtle. Myrtle Beach is going to end up a ghost town after they lose all that business.

The dealership is not closed but they did open a new one farther (sp) north of the city and there is one just south of the city.

Bike week wasn't officially cancelled either they are trying to but have not succeded yet.

Other rallies in Florida and North Carolina are getting bigger as a result of Myrtle Beach getting smaller.

We were at the Outer Banks Bike Week last month in Harbinger NC and our sales doubled compared to last year. It is so nice to be in a city where they actually want bikers and the business they bring with them.

I heard the Panama City and Leesburg rallies in Florida were also larger than in past years.

R.I.P. Myrtle Beach Bike Week (we will miss you).
