What's important to elected officials in California.....

And yet they drive our culture for some reason.

I mean, I get it - everyone should be treated with respect (until they act like azzholes, then you can rip them a new one). But these minority groups are their own worst enemies. They want everyone to respect them, yet they make demands and act like freaking lunatics, ensuring that even people who were ambivalent will grow to hate them.
I have thought about that and can only come to the conclusion that it is for political reasons.

The ones I have met IRL, even the 1st one I encountered, wanted to live as a woman and not draw attention to the fact they were once a man. Shim cried when I told 'her' that she might have to be searched by a man. I spoke to the arresting officer and said I felt 'close' to that area and would be surprised if there was a dangerous weapon in there.

They let the jail deal with it.

That person got a name change and everything.

Later, we gave them the name Pat - since that name is really not gender specific.

The one I know is young, probably mid 20s. I thought she was quite cute as a woman.
My friend Alice's husband was smoking hot as a woman, except he used to love to dress up like one, not pretend he was one, if that makes sense. In other words, he was a cross-dresser, not a transexual. Alice used to say that her high-powered corporate attorney husband was a better looking woman than she was. I always felt like it was a toss-up, even in Alice's usual attire as an athletic individual (she was no such thing). Her uniform-of-the-day was what I called a Russian track suit.

There used to be an "Alice" that hung out at the VFW. After making some inappropriate comments to a 12 y/o, she was booted.

Are caps even sold anymore?
The last time I saw some and bought them was around 1999-2000 time frame. I picked them up for the nephews to make some noise and irritate their mother.

They weren't as loud as when I was a kid.

They must have neutered them, for "safety reasons."

What irritates me is that guys who want to present as women should at least make an effort and not just slosh on some makeup like a drag queen. Dylan Muvaney has his obnoxious issues for sure, but at least he looks like a woman and not an insult. It's incredibly offensive the way some of these men think that's what women look like. When men go for the scare factor when dressing up as women, it screams "My mother abused me when I was a child."

Also keep men out of women's spaces and sports. I'm not even sure how that became a thing and why ALL women aren't raising a bitch about it.

If women (Riley Gaines) speak up about that, they are labeled misogynistic. Think about that.

I agree but the several I have met out on the streets, frankly could pass as women. They are not Rachel Levine looking. They carry nice bags, are good at applying make-up, get their nails done or do them - themselves, and would never go out looking hobo like.

I would see them in my office typically for DUI/DWI and a weapons violation. The weapons violation seemed par for the course. They carry just in case the news of actually still having a penis doesn't go well. Most skip the penis part and not to get gross here, but they can fix that to be Barbi like but it isn't going to work like the real thing.

But I think what the media shoves in our faces as 'transgender' is a fade that hopefully will soon go as quickly as it came. Even Muvaney acts far too feminine than your every day woman.

I cannot think of ANY woman that acts like that. Seems to be something that gay men do too, way over the top hand gestures and voicing. I've always believed it was just a "hey look at me" thing.

Not at all. I remember the mess over the tranny story hour at the Library and one of my trans that was a frequent flyer at my office went off about it saying no real trans person would be interested in reading stories to children - only perverts. So there is tremendous disagreement in the community about this as well.

The Democrats should have actually gotten to know the base before they tried to cater to them. :ohwell:

One common thing I can think of in the trans community is none of those men turned women had a good relationship with their dad.

In fact, I grew up with a guy whose 2 sons are now both gay and 1 of his 2 daughters is in the process of becoming a man.
And I know first hand that his father was a POS who was barely around and when he was around, he was high and/or drunk and beating on his kids. His mother was also a POS, drugs, drinking, men coming and going. Both his parents died young.

I would be curious if anyone knows of a trans who grew up in a loving and supportive home? :ohwell:

One family I know has had an intact family for decades. Supportive parents, but, they wouldn't allow it until that child turned 18. They also wouldn't pay for any of it. They have accepted it and are still an intact close family.

Chas Bono. Pretty sure she was loved by Cher, ,Maybe sonny loved her, probably supported her, but I am sure she lived a f'ed up life with those two freaks.

Cher comes across as a person who is always gonna put Cher first - before anything else and there are reports that her and Chaz had a very rough relationship. Sonny was out of that marriage by the time Chaz was 5 or 6 and Chaz wasn't his only child. He was married before Cher and another 2 times afterwards. Cher, also, hit the ground running and married again, the same year she divorced Sonny and had another kid.

Did anyone else think Cher's grief at Sonny's funeral was just over the top? She was standing up there talking, crying hysterically, snotting all over the place and if felt like, well, it was more about Cher. I guess my opinion on Cher being more about herself was formed at that moment.

JMO :ohwell:

Now, Kim Petras says both her parents were supportive but it seems like he was raised as a she very young and the parents didn't try to stop the behavior.
