What's up with the 7-Elevens closing?

In the last two or three years, the 7-Elevens in Great Mills, California and Leonardtown have all closed. Is Southland in financial trouble? Or are people in St. Mary's just not thirsty for Slurpees anymore?

Maybe, but Charlotte Hall still has two 7-Elevens even with a WaWa down the street. Personally, I don't like WaWa's poor selection of Slurpee-type drinks.

They probably got tired of getting robbed :eyebrow: ....the 7-11's in Charlotte Hall get too much "truck traffic" to shut down....I personally paid the salary of at least 2 of their employees(coffee) from stopping in the morning on the way out....

WaWa's parking lot isn't big enuff to manuver a tractor trailer around without taking out at least 2 curbs, 3 cars and a couple of small trees :lmao:

Southland is a bad corporation to enter into franchise with. A buddy of mine owns one back in NV for the last 10 years and is looking to get out.

Might have something to do with 7-11's lame-ass coffee, stale doughnuts and rockhard breakfast sandwiches myself.

Oh, I know alot of places have been getting busted for selling to underage people....I thought maybe they got robbed or something an everyone quit.. but alot of small places are goin under cuz of the "money" factor... this county is growing WAY to quick, and we are out of room as it is...haha...

You should check out J. Cusicks, posts. He wants to reverse the growth and return St.Mary's to a farming community.
