What's with all the "not me" names?

quite easily. It shows they don't feel they have much self-worth and must be associated with these other people to have "done something with their lives". If all Jane does is sit at home while hubby makes the money, well she doesn't necessarily have much to personally be proud of...besides how productive her husband is and thus she associates herself with him, instead of as her own person.

Have you been a mother? Okay, don't answer that  Maybe she's proud to be Janey's mom or is happy to be smibswife. Jane working as a homemaker and mom is a job :duh:

They have done something with their lives. Something very important. They're raising children to, hopefully, become productive, acceptable members of society. Unfortunately, what these mothers see is how todays society veiws home makers. Often negatively.

You can be a SAH Mom and homemaker without losing your whole sense of personal identity.

Okay, so being a wife and mother means they haven't "done something with their lives"? Your rationalization is absurd.

Go play with Sharon, she doesn't understand the concept either.

Ok, ya big lug I'm beginning to think you're just another nut. Toppick clarified his objectified name. Now it's your turn since you are curious about other user names.

Hey at least in your example, Joe had a name to go with his ocupation.

I'm talking about these nameless people who's only identity is through a different person. It's kind of creepy.

I have a friend who's girlfriend never speaks. I mean NEVER. When people introduce the two of them they introduce HIM, and "his girlfriend" never a name.

Then there are others that introduce THEMSELVES that way! I know a lady that introduces herself as "Mrs. Seargent #####" :lmao:

What kind of personality does that???

:eyebrow:

True, but it doesn't take much effort to become a "mother"...the successful part is something completely different. You do not know if they were successful or not, nor do I. All you need to do is spread your legs for a man to become a mother :yay:

Anyway, I'm less-so placing this example on the "mother of so-and-so" and moreso saying that self-esteem comes into play with the "wife of" "husband of" ect.

Well I'm a vegetarian and a mother - so the two most noteable things about me and my personality....

And "eccentricredheadedtreehuggingcheapskatewithlotsajunkinhertrunk" as a user name was just too long.

You're probably some skinny twig that would snap in half during a 15 MPD gust of wind.

Something tells me you're not so smooth. You probably shave your body and walk around acting and talking tough like someone is actually going to give you any attention, nasty hairball.
