What's wrong with my cat's eye?

My cat looks like she is winking at me...I was thinking maybe she just got hurt playing with my other cats. She's not acting weird or anything. Her eye has been like that for maybe 2 or 3 days. I think this is the second time this has happened. Any ideas?

Is it weepy? Could be conjunctivitis. Kinda hard to diagnose over the net with no pictures. :lmao:

Send me a photo and you credit card info and for a fee I will diagnois your cats eye issues and tell you what to do about it.
After 2-3 days she might cost you a lot$$$$$$$..so send me that info ASAP or go to paypal!!!:killingme

The FINE PRINT:
If she dies, not my problem as you are silly enough to go online, post a question with no history, no supporting clinical data and expect some nameless, faceless person to cure her?
It has been going on 2-3 days?
Call you vet if you really care about your cat!

Oh and if YOU get sick dont come here, go to a doctor!:coffee:

She could have the herpes virus that cats get. The symptoms come and go. If left untreated in the eye, the eye can get ulcers.

I'd take her to the vet and see what's up. She could be hurting.

Good luck.

WOW...way to be an #######. Did I ask for a cure? NO! I know that I will have to take her to a vet, but I will not be doing that at 6 in the evening. I was just getting opinions from others who may have had something like this happen to their pet.

Hmm, thats weird. MY cat has conjuctvitis (sp?) and he does that every now and then it lasts about 2 weeks and at first he has his eye completely shut like your cat, and then it is just squinted for a week or so. They say it comes around twice a year usually with a weather change. And it does. He has lots of brown/red (not blood) discharge coming from it and we have to wipe it out all the time. We have terramycin to put in his eye but he does fine without it (and he hates getting it) I only use it if it gets really bad. If there is nothing coming out though I dont think it could be that.

Does he open it at all? If not I would suggest opening the eye (if you can) and seeing if there is anything to worry about.

I have 2 other cats. They do tend to play a little rough sometimes. I haven't seen any tearing so far.

Have you tried flushing it out with saline solution? Our ponies sometimes get dust or foreign material in an eye, it will shut and sometimes swell. Not sure if it would be the same with cats...

She can open her eye, I'm looking at her now and she has it halfway open. She actually let me open her eye earlier, I didn't see anything unusual.

Did you take her to the vet? Last time I went to the vet with one of mine, they used a dye to see the scratch on her eye (we couldn't see it without the dye). Ended up using ointment on her for 10 days or so and she was fine.

Its been going on for 2-3 days and you are concerned now?
Glad Im not a pet living at your house sweetie!
Dont waste time here...just clean the eye and call your vet for an exam.

...PS...
You have not taken her in because now she seems fine?
Good, my magic worked...Ill send you my bill!!!!:bigwhoop:

Quit messing around here with all these crazy answers and IF you care about your cat, get her to see you vet...
But if you keep posting crap and photos expecting a cure, you will get what you ask for...crap answers.

just because she looks fine doesn't mean she really is.....i would have her looked at. I don't play when it comes to that stuff. my animals when they are sick or injured make a trip to the vet.
