What's your favorite comfort food?

Mmm. What recipe do you use for your manicotti filling?
It's a very complex and secret recipe.

16oz mozzarella (Polly-O cheeses preferred)
16oz ricotta
1/2-3/4 lb ground beef, cooked seasoned and drained
onion powder, garlic powder and oregano to taste. I went light on the salt this time.

:yay:
Sometimes, people scrimp and use things like cottage cheese, or what-have-you.

Sound delicious - enjoy!!

Box pizza, appian way preferably but the chef will do in a pinch. I know it’s an unusual one, but it’s what we had growing up.

Ok, I'm comforted for a while. For now.
Used the sauce FF mentioned, Del Grosso. Found it a little on the thin side, but after this is frozen and reheated, it will be just right. Has a little different flavor (marinara) than any other, but good. I like it.

:yahoo: I was thinking that I should have mentioned FF's sauce great thinking! I like the texture as well as the taste of the marinaras over a heavy sauce, also. That looks fantastic, GW! :high5:

I made a loaf of Snickerdoodle cinnamon chip bread. A piece of that and a cold glass of milk = yum!
