What's your favorite decade of music?

country music sounds like pop anymore ....

It all depends on what you define as "Pop"
I was never much into Country either. Especially the depressing "There's a tear in my beer" stuff, but I'm starting to get into some of the newer upbeat country music as it sounds more like Southern Rock than anything else.

My favorite decade/genre/other classification of music is entirely dependent on my mood when this question comes up.




Right now I'm listening to Static X, specifically "Destroyer" - and I have Powerman 5000 and Godsmack queued up - and I have no interest in listening to other genres of music. If you were to ask me right now, late 90's and 00's heavy metal is my favorite.

Last night I was listening to songs like Blinded by the Light, Baker Street and Midnight Rider... and I had no interest in heavy metal from any decade.





If I had to pick though - I'd go with late 80's metal. Particularly The Big Four - Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer.
