Jamaican, hell! I can understand patois. What I CAN'T understand is honkybonics. 2ndAmendment, you can come over to my house where my kids speak English and so do all their friends. It will give you hope for the future.

Glad there is hope besides my boys. Since being home schooled, they are doing great. My wife does a great job teaching. So much for the public school is better myth.

Daughter is another story; she tended toward ebonics, but seems to be starting to realize that people do judge your intelligence on how you speak. Even there, there is hope. Time will tell.
