The old days of just hooking the cables up pos to pos and neg to neg are gone. You can do some serious damage to newer vehicles if you screw it up as evidenced by the pics but there are some less visible effects. You can fry some expensive electronics and corrupt software. Reading the little book in the glove box can save you some money!
