Police Investigating Burglary to CVS Pharmacy in Hollywood Involving Vehicle


On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at approximately 4:05 a.m., police responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at 24288 Three Notch Road in Hollywood, for the reported burglary in progress.

Police received multiple 911 calls reporting a grey Ford pickup truck rammed the entrance to the building and was attempting to steal the ATM.

Firefighters are trained in building construction, which would include the integrity of a structure during an incident. Many of the volunteers in Southern Maryland are also career firefighters in other jurisdictions. Those jurisdictions give them more extensive training in other areas such as swift water rescue, high angle rescue, building collapse to name a few. LaPlata VFD has a collapse unit that responds to incidents where the integrity of a building is in question. They responded this morning for a vehicle into a building.
