When I was a kid alcohol wasn't a big deal. Old Italian families, we were given wine mixed with water at a very young age. Mostly because Milk was expensive and wine was always homemade for practically nothing. Now cigarettes was a different story. Had to buy them, but my mother could always smell the smoke on me. The women had a nose like a bloodhound. :lmao:

My mother was absolutely clueless. She was strict and I think that she believed that she scared us so much that we wouldn't even think about it. :lmao:

My parents didn't know I speant the night with a friend who's mom was out at the bar until 3:00 every morning. We knew that we should try to get back to her house by 1 so we wouldn't get caught. We ran all over the place and partied as much as we could get away with. :alkies:

We were out in farm country so we could get away with alot. Sneak some beer here and there and tell folks we were going to sleep out with our sleeping bags, etc. And drank some beer. Never got into trouble so parents never knew any different. :shrug: Living out in the country you could get away with alot more I guess.

I never really touched alcohol until I was halfway through my senior year and after my mom and stepfather split up. I'm sure I must have snuck around but my brother was 10X worse than me so he took all the heat off. :lol:

My parents gave me my first drink on my 18th birthday. After that, I really didn't touch the stuff until after I joined the military.

Our daughter called once from a party with her girlfriends to pick her up. (lover her for doing that) She denied she was drunk. TFF!
Got home. I woke up in the middle of the night, she was throwing up and thank gosh she made it to the bathroom. :lol: Hasn't drank since. Our son, has never tried nor have I pushed that on him.
Love them.. :love:
