Where are cars made

Nope, last plant out west would have been the Nummi plant by Oakland. Toyota and GM worked it together, making the Corrolla/Nova twins.

My cars a grab bag. I have the first years supplier list, reads like the UN of carmaking.

Body/Assemby - Ontario
Engine - Mexico
Transmission - Indiana, but the window sticker says Germany due to oddities in the sourcing process.
ABS/ESP/BAS system - Continental-Teves

I grew up within 30 minutes of 3 major Honda plants (Marysville, Indian Lake, Troy) in Ohio, the vast majority of people I grew up with are employeed by Honda one way or another........my TL was fully built and assembled in the U.S.....as well as my Tundra......my last Ford...Germany and France..lol

The important point is where they're engineered...not where they're assembled.

lol...no...the important part is American workers having jobs......
I should care about that why? Do you make purchases based on where the money is going or do you make them based on the quality and value of the item? Seems like the latter is the smarter, logical choice.

The important point for ME is that I get good gas mileage and the car doesn't mysteriously start breaking down right when the warranty expires.... as has been the case for every POS American made vehicle I've owned.

I'm never buying American until they start making quality vehicles that last.

????? I have an Acura and a Toyota......what gave you the impression that I thought you should buy American? If you read above I commented that Honda keeps the majority of NW Central Ohio employeed....my comment was that you should want to keep the American worker employeed...and in the majority of cases now a days, that means buying a imported car...I couldn't agree more about the downgrade of the American cars....not to mention I think almost all of them are ugly as sin...
