I have been trying to search for a place that sells cherry wood. Hardware stores only sell poplar, oak, and maple. I didn't check 84 lumber yet, but I don't think they sell cherry either. Any help would be appreciated.
Suggestion: Don't go with expensive hardwoods if you're just starting out. Do your project with pine or even oak. Cheaper than cherry. Cherry is very expensive for a starter project. I started woodworking about 20 years ago and I started with oak and made many mistakes. Expensive mistakes. Still make mistakes, but not real expensive ones. Thanks for the help! I found some places but have never been to any of them before:
Hickman's lumber
Dean Lumber and Supply
Chopp and Company
Goad Lumber Co.
Charlotte Hall Lumber
Calver Lumber
Maryland Selects Hardwoods
I am trying to do a woodworking project (starter). I think that rough cuts might be too much work and I am not familiar with the process of finishing the wood to commercial grade yet.
