Where to buy pellet stove pipe?

I'm looking for the vent pipe to install a pellet stove. Does anyone know where to find it besides the Tri-County stove place in Waldorf? This stuff is expensive and I know somebody must have it more reasonably priced.
And what's the word on availability of pellets and prices around the area?

True Value Hardware in Waldorf aka Waldorf Hardware on Rt 301 - ask for Chris Plater

Pellets are hard to come by right now - True Value has a waiting list - first come first serve (I work there on Saturdays) they were to have 60 ton delivered early this week - you may want to call and ask 301-645-2700

Check ACE hardware in Lusby. They may still have some pellets or they are getting them in. They usually keep stocked.

They had 60 tons come in last Wednesday, I just happened by on way to Sushwin Gardens,(sp) that evening to ask if any had come in, cause I was on the waiting list, was told they had called the people and it was first come first serve thank goodness my son was on the way to the resturant also and had his truck, nexteled him to stop by I was getting a ton, the place was a madhouse, trucks and trailers lining up to load up, think by the time they closed that evening they went through all 60 tons.

Man... glad I got mine a few months ago. What was the going rate?

4 days earlier I got a ton at Southern States in Charlotte Hall for $264.00.
I just dumped my last bag of those lousy Pennington Pellets from last year in the stove this morning.:buddies:

Yeah, I think I'd turn on the oil burner before I used another load of those. Funny, some people here find them OK.

Were the ones you got from there Lignetics (sp?)

We got a ton from Tri-County Hearth and Patio a month or more ago and we got them for $245.-
They were lignetics, and they burn wonderful... Just wondering how southern states were.

No they were not Lignetic's, I was told by a employee of R.D. Cross in Upper Marlboro which is a Southern States store and also have large showroom of stoves that their brand is made by Hamar, but bagged with Statesman on the bag their brand name. I like Hamar brand more then the Lignestic's I just feel there is not as much ash build up after I burn them, but you know thats just my opinion, other people like them some dont, that proably goes for the Hamars also.:buddies:

I haven't tried the ones from Southern States always got them from Tri County was afraid to try anything except Lignestic (use to sell the stoves so I knew these were great) but I may have to try and see

Pellets will be harder this year then ever to get due to higher fuel cost etc. Tri county has a 6 bag min right now and I believe are going for $2 and some change but not 100% sure on price.

Look on line or try Lowe's /Home Depot but beware what you buy yes price is high but quality is worth it

$2 a bag x 50 bags/pallet (ton) is only $100. Can't be that cheap. Average price for a ton is $240-$270.
