Yes I do read them. Well most anyway, except those on ignore.

Like anything else, I get several opinions, and try the ones that make the most sense and are do-able. I don't just take the first bit of advice down the pike.

Ahh...that explains it. :lmao:

Just wondering. When you ask specifically where to get sand and someone tells you, specifically, where to get sand and there is no response..... :howdy:

Because while I am still replying to someone, I get three or four replies before I get a chance to read them. It's impossible to read replies that are posted before my machine refreshes the page.

Post 9 and 13 both said AAA. It may cost more than $`15. , but if you need 30 bags, which is what it sounds like, it'll still be much cheaper than bags of sand at Lowes.

Well I thought that too. When I lived in Calvert for ten years, I knew which places were the best places to buy *gravel* (since everyone or nearly everyone in the Ranch Club has a gravel driveway) and landscaping sand (because my next door neighbor put it down before he place his paving stones). Now that I live in St Mary's, I didn't have a clue.

Does anyone have a better solution?
Yes. I will trade you your two dogs for my evil 16 year old girl. She will not chew your waterbags or crap on your carpet, I promise.

You could also fill the bag with gravel instead of the sand. There are two Chaney locations, the concrete plant across Wildewood, and a sand & gravel operation off of Great Mills Road that sell both materials. The Sand & Gravel operation is called Southern Materials & is on Quatman road right by the McKays & Mayfaire apartments. Their number is 301-862-3311. The concrete plant can sell both materials when they have excess available & their number is 301-863-5522. Hope this helps!
