....when Trump was almost assassinated?

We were eating dinner, watching the rally on TV.

I usually turn the TV off for dinner, but not tonight.

I was putting away a stack of books, with the television on over my shoulder.

I was watching "Titanic" on AMC and at commercial I decided to jump on here and see what go on. I wasn't expecting it would be that the Democrats tried to assassinate Trump.

I was eating a Lido's pizza . We had a friend over when my daughter called and told us to turn on the TV.

Hey Gilligan doesn't St. Catherine's still belong to the democrats?

Watching Whit Johnson when they suddenly broke to say Trump had to suddenly leave the rally. Whit went back to whatever he was reporting and then suddenly stopped and I guess that's when everyone realized what really happened.

I had just finished eating chili and a baked potato. Home Improvement was playing on the TV at the kitchen counter where I was sitting. Opened the FoxNews app on my phone and saw the banner about Trump's rally starting, so I came to this forum to see if there was a thread about people watching the rally, and that is when I saw @RoseRed thread "HOLY CHIT!". Went into the living room where my wife was watching something else and told her to turn to FoxNews - Trump had just been shot! My phone started blowing up soon after that with texts from friends. I poured my 1st adult beverage and went out to the front porch(my happy place) with my iPad to take it all in. The rest is history in the making....

It took me a moment to register. Did that just happen? :yikes:
I was on the forums and saw RoseRed's post and told my husband to turn on the tv.

I called in "sick of work" and was watching live TV when the horror of 9/11 was happening and it seemed unbelievable and it took awhile to wrap my head around it.

We were out most of the day, came home, didnt turn on the tv. Sat outside, had a few adult beverages, came back in, turned on a movie. Didnt know anything had happened until the next morning when I turned on the news.
