Which kind of doctor do I go to?

Where in your hand is the numbness? If I'm not mistaken if it's ring finger/pinkie that would be a problem with that nerve in your elbow, and if it's index/middle it could possibly be carpal.

I'm pretty sure a neurologist could diagnose it, but when I went in for similar issues they jumped straight to surgery as a solution. I don't think any sort of therapy was ever mentioned. I just invested in a more comfortable keyboard and mouse and haven't had any major issues since then unless it's related to me sleeping on my hand

This ^ It started when I woke up one morning, so I assumed I slept weird. But then it didn't go away so now it's time to have someone fix me. :ohwell:

I'm going to call Henderson (ortho dude) and let him take a look. Then he can shuffle me off to someone else if need be.

Dr. Henderson is on vacation next week. I am a regular patient and couldn't get an appointment until the 23 or 24 depending on the office. All the doc's in the practice are good. If you can get in with Dr. Travis sooner I'd see him. They also have a PA that is good. His name is Mark Musket (i think I spelled that wrong?) Mark is very knowledgable and all cases are review by the docs too.

I told the witch doctor I was in love with you
I told the witch doctor I was in love with you
And then the witch doctor, he told me what to do
He said that ....

(Chorus:)
Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang
Walla walla, bing bang
Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang
Walla walla, bing bang...
Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang
Walla walla, bing bang
Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang
Walla walla, bing bang

I told the witch doctor you didn't love me true
I told the witch doctor you didn't love me nice
And then the witch doctor, he gave me this advice
He said to ...

(Repeat Chorus)

Now, you've been keeping love from me
Just like you were a miser
And I'll admit I wasn't very smart
So I went out and found myself
A guy that's so much wiser
And he taught me the way to win your heart

My friend the witch doctor, he taught me what to say
My friend the witch doctor, he taught me what to do
I know that you'll be mine when I say this to you
Oh, Baby ....

Oh you suck. I saw "Which doctor" and had the same idea.

Damn, that's scary... :lmao:

In My Opinion
Go to your regular doctor and describe the pain just as you did here.
He will send you for some pictures of your neck and shoulder.
When he reads them he will send you to the right place, That doctor will read them and then try sending you to PT for a while to see if they can work it out.
It is possible, and I say this because the lady with the pan went through this earlier this year, that there is a pinched nerve in the neck, she required surgery on her neck for this. They had to do a fusion. I requested that they put a spring in instead of the bone graft and plate, but they assured me that this was not a possible solution to the problem.

I honestly hope for your sake that some pt will take care of it.

I'd suggest a neurologist. There is a long nerve that runs from your hand to your neck. If that nerve is pinched, it can cause pain like that... the numbness is the give-away for me, though.

Mine was carpel tunnel and I was told to sleep in wrist splints. I couldn't get used to it and stopped. I kept knocking peanut in the head with the splints

If you need a good neurologist let me know. I see one in Ch. Hall that is decent.
