Who ate my chicken pot pie?

Was it you? I just put it in the freezer this morning. Maybe you thought it was yours. There was one in a bag that looked just like mine so I am cooking that one instead. Can't wait until you are craving that flaky crust and are stuck eating a yogurt.

well wish you were close.. I would have made you a plate from our luncheon... :drool:.... baby carrots.... green beans, corn, taters, stuffin, gravy, sweet taters, salad, stuffed ham, turkey, crab bake, oysters, rolls,.... lots of sweets....

:drool:... will say this was the best catered event i have ever attended here in my 13yrs here!! OMG is was good!!!

On a side note, has anybody actually looked at the sodium content of a frozen pot pie...:faint: I have yet to find one that has less than 1,000 mg of sodium per serving... some even hit the 2000 mg mark... :dead:

yeah that and the fat content are way up there. i eat 8-10 a year though so I think that is ok.

Funny thing about that... I've made my own pot pies, and unless you add a TON of salt, it just doesn't taste right.

Not sure why that is.

taste buds are conditioned after years of over salting foods by the food industry

Lunch box and ice packs sitting under my counter with all my food in it. I have had my food removed from our fridge more than once over the years.

Yeah... when I make homemade chicken soup I have the spoon in one hand and a salt shaker in the other... I did at least switch to a light sea salt so that helps. We don't have that option with processed freezer food...:ohwell:

its already in the foods you eat. unless you have cooked fresh and ate fresh everyday for the past 30 years you are a victim of big food.

In My Opinion
hate pot pies. comes from childhood.
mother used to force us to eat them, I hated the crust, inside was ok, but the crust made me gag. Mom made me eat the crust too. was not allowed to yank the top off, eat the insides and leave the rest of the crust.

Have not had a pot pie since around 1974 ~ 75, I imagine I will die before having one again too.

i love marie callender pot pie. the crust with the gravy is the best part. i could do without the peas though. nasty ass peas
