In this case the teen, her mother and sister all have the same tattoo. Mom's having problems with aging.

And what exactly is wrong with a tattoo? If it's the same tat on each family member, it probably represents something special to them. I see nothing wrong with that.

Some tattoos look like graffiti on an inner city wall, some people have so many tattoos that THEY look like an inner city wall. There was a woman in the building I worked that had a tattoo on the calf of her beautiful long slim legs, it looked like a pot hole in the middle of 20 miles of newly paved highway.

I don't think anyone intends to get an ugly tattoo but I would say about half of them turn out that way.

This will certainly make me sound old (well, I am!) but I am noticing a lot of young girls getting multiple arm tattoos and am guessing they will eventually have "sleeves" like some guys get. I cannot help but wonder if they will still want them when they are in their 40's and 50's and/ or how it would affect their ability to get professional type jobs in the future.

Maybe it's like painting a wall, you have to have a good and well prepped surface.

And here earlier you chalked a 16 years old girl's tattoo to rebellion.

This is dumb. Looks like the school wishes their yearbook to have a certain look that reflects a time about 50 years ago. Unfortunately, they have to create that yearbook with the student raw material that is wandering their halls. Why not issue a dress-code for the picture taking session. Shoulders covered, no cleavage, no visible tats.

i hate tatoos, and wouldn't let my daughter get one. However, from what i have read this girl got that tat after getting out of an abusive situation. the tat reads something like "i love me the way i am" or something similar. i have no issue with her family allowing her to have that tat under those circumstances

oh, and like no teenager has ever lied about their age or had a fake ID? :killingme

But speaking of bad tattoos, A&E had a show set in Vegas where people contacted the two tattoo artists with their sorry tales, it was called "Bad Ink"
The best part was the reaction / commentary from the two guys who were the "stars"

I also can never for get the SNL skit - it featured a product to erase tramp stamps from older people.

The gag part of that skit was the sag and drag of old people's skin and the deformation of the tattoos after facing 40-60 years of unabated gravity.

yep :)

they should replay that ever year as a PSA to young folks thinking of getting a tattoo.

Which is also the theme of "Bad Ink".

Typically it's a guy that went out and got something stupid, now he's got a girlfriend, thinking of getting married and wants Randy Rita covered up - except it's on a part of his anatomy his new bride is likely to see.

Onthis note, my sonster who was 19 and wife, designed their own tattoo. Thistle, and Shamrock and went to Red Octopus and had a tattoo artist draw out the design, and both have the same tattoo, it is small, down around their right ankles. My wife's first and my son's first . My wife, then also got one by her left ankle, the cancer ribbon, in dedication to her aunt that died from cancer.
