Who does pooch bathing?

Who gives your pooch his/her bath, blow dry, brushing, haircuts, teeth brushing etc.

I do Jake (miniature Poodle) most of the time. I do everything. Woody (Labradoodle) has to wait till summer to go in the outside shower with me or go to the groomer.

Who has a big dog 70-75 lbs. and gives him/her a bath inside?

I can't believe I am thinking about doing this. :jameo:

I just did Jake and I am exhausted. :dead:

I do both my mutts inside. Sometimes one will jump in the tub with the other - you wanna talk about a mess :lmao:

My Lab/Hound is almost 100lbs. In summer he goes outside for bath. I have thrown him in tub in winter but its not pretty. He was abused animal once and he fears I am trying to kill him. Once I calm him, its not so bad.

That's exactly what I am afraid of. What do you do to keep him calm when drying him. I think he'll be fine during his bath, but the towel drying might be a huge challenge.
When Jake was just in the tub, Woody came in and was trying to get Jake to jump out and play. ( I was soaked because of their shenanigans) It really seemed as if he was teasing Jake. So I am not so sure I should even attempt this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

What did you do to calm him down?

Get ready to have fun :killingme

I'd have a broken back if I did him in the garden tub.
At least it would get used.

When necessary, Dustin bathes the pup (he's 65 lbs, give or take) inside in the hall bathtub. He just turns the shower on and Cody loves it. He has very very short hair though, so it's not a big deal to towel him off and all that. D just keeps the door shut until he's done.

My mother and father each have 2 greys, and they wash them in their showers...it really helps that the greys are nice and calm, and they have the handheld showerhead thingies with the hose attached...dayum what are they called?

Anyways, if you have one of those shower nozzles, it would be much easier to use it rather than fill a bathtub full of water! Oh, and try to tie the leash to the handhold in the shower. That might help a little bit.

heres what I do with my Shepherd, first I prepare us both..get towels, shampoo, dog into bathroom. Then I get undressed and put dog in tub, then I get in and sit on edge and turn on shower. Soap up pooch, rinse and then as dog steps out of shower I throw a towel over her and let her shake. Then when shes done I towel her off, open the door and let her go then I take a shower cause now im all wet and sweaty and dirty from the dog. Were both clean in a matter of an hour.

I use the hand-held shower thing. Jake really likes that. I just never attempted to bathe Woody inside before. He was 1 in July.
Oh wellllll....maybe I'll give it a go.

Oh and I forgot, I did this with my old dog, my new one goes to Petsmart for a bath. Older and wiser, I'm too old for this bath stuff with my bad back. :lmao:
