Who falls face down into a concrete slab? I do of course OUCH.

Yesterday at 7am I was preparing to leave for work so I was taking the dogs outside again before leaving. I had dog #1 on a leash. I stepped onto the short staircase that goes from the deck to the concrete pad on the ground. I slipped on the 2nd step and twisted my ankle/foot, dropped the leash, then went to the left (no side rails) and dropped about 2-3 feet landing face down on my forehead. Dog #1 never moved from her position on the step and was looking at me. I got up cussing and moaning in pain and realized I could barely walk and that my head hurt really bad. I proceed to get Dog #1 to go potty but she was so shook up by what happened she had no interest (she had done her business 45 minutes earlier anyway). I took her back in the house and got in my car to go to work. I sent the VP a text to say I fell and was going to be late since I was stopping by CVS on my way in to grab some cold packs and wraps. I get to work hobbling slowly down the hall to my classroom with people looking at me oddly as my head/hand was bleeding I discovered. I mumbled something about having taken a swan dive off the deck onto the concrete headfirst. I have a rough-looking concrete impression on my forehead.

Today is day 2 and I feel just as bad today as I did yesterday, however, I did WAKE UP this morning ... so that means my head injury isn't as bad as it could have been. I have a bruise on the bridge of my nose from the glasses I had on at the time of the fall. I thought it was dirt yesterday but it didn't wash off. I realized this morning that the bruise is from my glasses. I'm not the sharpest pencil in the cup but I did figure it out within 24 hours ha ha. I have injured my feet/ankles so many times before that I don't think I will bother with another MRI this time. Why waste insurance money. I need rest and ice cream but where am I? At work again of course. No work, no pay.

Oh my! Be extra careful if you feel dizzy, that's a sign of a concussion. Hope you can stay off it this weekend and heal.

Hope you feel better soon!:flowers:

I was being careful to monitor my condition yesterday and I felt ok mentally with no foggy or dizzy feelings thankfully.

:killingme And she should up her life insurance to an amount that will cover her student loan debt.
Life insurance? There will only be life insurance if I have it provided free at work. Once I'm dead whatever I have left in possessions, bank accounts, etc. will be taken by the State. Whatever money is derived from my assets will go to the highest ranking debt which I assume will probably be my student loan since I don't owe the IRS any money.

A new contender for a WR replacement?

Hope all is well.

For your consideration ...

well not sure why but my illness restarted Saturday and I am back at school masked but I don't think masking helps much in this setting with so many germs swirling around?

No. Masking does nothing. Unless you're a surgeon cutting into someone while talking to a nurse or the anesthesiologist to keep your spittle from entering the patient's body. Germs swirling around in your setting? Germs, bacteria, fungus and the like, are everywhere. E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E. You cannot escape them, ever. They are even in every food that you eat.

Look. Wanna stop being/getting sick? Fix and heal your body with a good and proper natural diet. Eliminate ALL processed foods, sugars, (from all sources, and all juices such a orange juice), [excepting when combined with the whole natural product such as eating an apple, or strawberries, blueberries, etc..], and refined carbohydrates. Problem is, for most people, that it takes discipline, dedication, and time to achieve, which they are lacking. There is no instant gratification when it comes to healing your body after years of diet damage.

It took a long while for your body to get in its current state. It will take a while to fix it. There is a plethora of valid and peer backed science regarding the dangers of the western diet, as well as information on how to reverse inflammations and heal your body while at the same time strengthening your immune system, all at your fingertips. You complain about how you keep getting sick. So what are you going to do about it?

There are things in life that can only be done by the person. This is one of them. A doctor will only treat symptoms, and never heal you. If you want a life free from sickness or illness, it is simply up to you. Patient heal thyself.

The above applies to the class as well.

*Said in a most friendly and sincere way.

Others have reported this as well. Get ill, start to feel better, try to go back to a 'normal' life, and get hit with a recurrence. It never left, you were just passing thru a phase of the illness where symptoms subsided for a bit. Whether that's just a normal virus phase or trying to do too much too soon before you've recovered.... who knows?
