The wifey is intrigued by the Can-Am Spyder, and a dealer just (or is about to) open in Mechanicsville. They have plenty of PWC's in crates in the yard and a big BRP sign in front.

It doesn't lean.

I test-drove one from there. Nice bike, peppy. When it was all said and done, I walked away from it and have no intention of ever getting one.

Two things turned me off. One was the cornering. When you make a hard corner, the bike turns flat, but your body center-of-gravity is higher than the bike and wants to continue in a straight line in the opposite direction of the turn. I felt like I was always ready to fall off. 2nd was the steering itself. VERY sensitive. All I had to do was look to my side, and the bike was already heading in that direction.

I MUCH prefer to lean and be in-line with the bike during the cornering. If you get someone whoi has never ever ridden a typical bike, they won't know the difference and would become accustomed to it more quickly.
