:confused: I've stayed away from there, I always thought it was a gay bar. BTW, Vera was weird 30 years ago.

It was, sorta. The guy that played the piano and was her companion for years was supposedly gay and drew quite a crowd at the bar.

OMG! The last time I was at Vera's was for my Junior Prom...... I am so going back there this weekend! Some things are so much more important than food!

Speaking of which, this man was a history professor at a university south of New Delhi. We got talking at a Thanksgiving dinner party I went to last year, and he had a draft copy with him.

I carry the book in my bookstore in Leonardtown, but am currently sold out. Let me know if you are interested in a copy. It came out early this year.
