Who likes Candy Corn?

See, and now you're just having a Dennys-by-the-Sea moment. For all you know candy corn Oreos would be the best thing you ever ate in your life.

No, I KNOW candy corn was created by and for cheap, mean old people as a, THE way of telling kids to NOT come back next Halloween. And, I know Oreo's are now made from leftover nuclear waste from Chernobyl, an economic opportunity made possible by the collapse of the Berlin Wall. Ergo...

I'll eat one tonight after dinner. Don't want to spoil my appetite for real food.

(Don't tell my mother I said that.)

OK... not bad
they are not candy corn sweet:yay:
They have a light candy corn/caramel taste as a flavor along with the golden Oreo cookie taste as well.

I was in the grocery store today and forgot to look for them, but then I read that you can only get them at Target? I don't have a target close to me.

My verdict:

Gak. Not worth the carbs.

I ate two: one as a whole cookie experience; and the other the normal way where you twist them apart, gnaw off the cream goober, then eat the cookies. I thought they were extremely sweet, but I've also been off sugar for awhile so that may have something to do with it. The goober is spot on hypersweet candy corn flavor that gets muted by the cookie, so I recommend eating it as a whole instead of twisting it apart.

FYI, Alton Brown has a recipe for homemade candy corn:

^That^ is like changing your own oil: you'd do it once just to prove you can, then never again.

My sister told me the same thing, but she sent some anyway, hope she didn't send me the pack she already opened. My daughter will like them anyway.:killingme

Yeah, and now I wish I hadn't eaten that second Oreo. :bleah:

Alrighty then. I'm so looking forward to the delivery I'll be getting from my sister.:sarcasm: Honestly, I didn't think they would be good, since I just don't like candy corn but I was at least hoping my daughter might like them. If not, no big deal.

BUT! Remember, I've been off sugar for over a month now and am probably hypersensitive to it.

Same here, my Magnum ice cream is gone, thanks to my daughter's "emergency". I didn't stand a chance. It's okay though, I didn't need it anyway.
