Flame me, bad karma me, I don't care.
I have a pure bred fixed male Britany Spaniel that we rescued from the pound in Frederick 3 years ago. When we got him, we had a fence and could let him run in the backyard. Moved down here and have no fence, so we have to tie him up whenever he goes out. He ends up spending most of his day either tied up outside or in the basement (laying at the top of the steps behind the baby gate is more like it). He is great with kids, but our living room is too small for him to be running around with all the kids playing in it. If I had a fence or a finished basement for everyone to spread out in, I'd never even THINK about getting rid of him. I feel it is unfair to him to keep him tied up outside all the time. If I can't find a home for him (with a fence) I will keep him. Love my dog, just want him to be able to have more freedom than I can give him.
