What are you using to synch the carbs??ylexot said:I just spent the last few hours doing some installs and maintenance on the bike...
Installed the 139dB horn.
Installed the Loobman chain oiler.
Sprayed some carb and choke cleaner in the carbs...didn't seem to make a difference in the slightly rough idle.
Was going to start sync'ing the carbs when the weather started to get ugly and a few drops started coming down.
Made it 50 miles, picked up dinner, ran through the taste of St Mary's and not a drop...Penn said:Yeah, you might want to pack them aboard!
I have one of the four-guage sync tools. We'll see if I do harm or good with ititsbob said:What are you using to synch the carbs??
I bought a Twin Max, VERY easy to use, and accurate. You're welcome to borrow it if you like.

 I was supposed to go to a place called Wet Willy's For lunch on Saturday, about 90 miles each way.Penn said:That's a long haul for dinner!
Is it a twin or a four cylinder??ylexot said:I have one of the four-guage sync tools. We'll see if I do harm or good with it
I think the big problem most people have with guages is that they just hook them up and start sync'ing. You have to tee them all in to one cylinder first to make sure they all read the same first.
Funny, I searched quite a bit for a sync tool and never came across the twin max. I actually thought about making something similar, but it was just cheaper/easier to buy the guages.
four cylinder, but the way to sync the carbs is to sync the left two to each other, then sync the right two to each other. Then you sync the left two to the right two. So, it could be done with something like the twin max, but it's just a bit easier to do it with a four-guage setup.itsbob said:Is it a twin or a four cylinder??
