Why did they send the Capitals to Atlanta to open?

Washington would've sold out the arena. There aren't even 100 people in the arena in Atlanta tonight (because Atlanta sports fans don't support their teams or sports in general).

Good question. It would have been better to have Tampa Bay (A perceived team-on-the-up) come to Verizon.

Atlanta sucks.

Tickets aren't on sale yet but I got a look, they're going to be $250-$500 a piece. I don't think so. :boo:

Tickets to the game you can get. But hotels in Pittsburgh sell out fast for normal New Years Eve stuff. Add The Winter Classic crush of teams, families, and media. Ugh.

I'm not saying you can't do it, but it won't be easy or affordable. I'm not even dealing with it. For the costs of a nose-bleed at the WC, I'd rather pay big bucks and get a great seat at the CEC.

$250 for tickets, plus hotel costs.

Vs.

Recliner, $30 for a case of beer, no bathroom line and no concession line at my fridge.

I vote recliner!

Don't be surprised if the O's are a contender in the AL East next year.

2010 Orioles Retrospective: Buck Showalter | Camden Crazies

P.S. The Nationals SUCK!!! :killingme:killingme:killingme

You messing with crack again, O's a contender come on they have to get past the Yankees, Red Sox's and Devil Rays.
Nationals as long as they sign Dunn, have better players at every position on the field then what the O's can put on the field. O's might have very slight edge in starting pitchers right now, but that will change once Straburg comes back.

Now lets get back to hockey.

Nice bounce-back and beatdown of the NJ Devils.

There were like three fights and a scrum all in 20 seconds of each other.

It really got nasty, Devils I guess didnt like getting their a$$ kicked. Bruce didnt like it, he and Devils coach were jawing back and forth. See that punch Bradley got in on their goon. Then they go after our rookie Johansson (he's going to be a good one) all he is doing is skating down the ice and the guy goes after him.

Oh and :yahoo: for Hockey Season.

No home opener win for Capt Whines-a-lot!!!

Heh.

No win for Captain Whines-a-lot tonight, either. Richards had his wadded panties, while Crosby had 2-and-1. Penguins pretty much own the Flyers in their building, lately.
