Great! Another excuse for fathers to be less involved with their kids - "probably not even yours!"


I would guess that paternal "mistakes" are more likely to be made in certain socio-economic demographics. So let's don't all look around our neighborhoods, wondering which kids are illegitimate.

And??? All children need fathers. A real man wouldn't leave the child hanging because of this "new research" he goes out and gets a test done and its not his kid.

difference between father and daddy can help clear it up. Any moron with a high enough sperm count and the proper environment and timing can be a father. Real men are dads! Even if you are not the "father' of the child you can be a better dad to him or her that the biological contributer to his/her conception. :cheers:

Some will take the test, find out it is not theirs and get the bio dad to pay CS and still keep an active role with the kid.

Don't bet on it. Many court rulings have shown that once a "kinship" wheather legitimate or not has been established, the "father" bio or otherwise is bound.

in most states if you've been financially supporting a child thats not yours for several years your considered the father and will still be required to pay.
