Why do MD judges excuse bad behavior?

 Sounds good to me. I'm ok with the exercise yard, but take away the cable TV and internet access.

The exercise yard is one thing, a place to walk around and that is it, but they should not be allowed to lift weights and come out of jail stronger than when they went in. Now if their behavior reverts back to what it was before, the cops have a stronger criminal to contend with on the streets.

My earlier money comment wasn't said to feel sorry for this kid, but after rereading what I said, I can clearly see that I should have said “inconvenience” instead of “hassle” to get my point across, and yes, a STET or a generally suspended ruling would have been a better choice than just letting him go freely, even after stating to an entire courtroom that he believes he is guilty. Actually, I think generally suspended verdicts are great, the judge basically lets you of the hook, but if you screw up within the next 3 years, he/she can bring you back in, look at the new charge and the generally suspended on and impose a sentence. But, the judge probably did give him an incredible gift if the Terps would have kicked him off the team if convicted. :ohwell:
