I know...but what is in canned squash is not actually a pumpkin..at least that's the claim. Libby's claims to use a hybrid...a Dickinson..

Neither milk needs refrigerated. Plus, it has a much longer shelf life and doesn't sell well enough to be taking up valuable dairy space.
Is canned spray cheese really cheese?
I'd guess it's all about convenience and selling potential. If you're passing the snack section you might be more apt to purchase canned cheese as it goes with many of the snacks. Canned cheese would just look "trailer park" beside the golden Kraft deli singles.
