I already know an answer but I am looking for your answer. If the site is considered holy then why is there trash on the Temple Mount?
I've also read there are toilet seats in the dump on the Temple Mount.

Here is the non-tourist picture of the temple mount. Access to the mount is controlled by the waqf and to strict standards: you cannot wear a short skirt, ...

Because of the trashy people who control the Temple Mount since 1967 - the Islamic Waqf? They are the trash keepers.

My answer, personally, would be that the islamists don't give a crap about the Temple Mount for any reason other than keeping Jews that politically disagree with them out. They have allowed certain Jews to visit, but usually only those that are essential anti-Israel. They (the Palestinian Authority/Islam) can hark about the al-Alsqa mosque and Dome of the Rock site and fears that Jews would dismantle those sites (fat chance), but Israel caved to intl pressure in 1967, and allowed the Muslims to control access to the entire Temple Mount.

God ultimately controls His temple, but until He decides the time, it will remain trashed as it is.

What do you think, Psy?

They could rebuild the Temple and just not build the courtyard, since this would be under the Dome of the Rock. The neat thing is this is in Revelation 11:2.

There continues to be dispute on the exact location of the Temple Mount, and it may well not infringe on/in/under/over the islamic dome at all, but God will sort it out in His time.

chuckt - what say ye on the trash aspect?

No. I am giving you the chance to teach me.

My answer is that modern humans have shown little regard for the earth as a whole. Korea is one of the most environmentally unsound places I've ever been. They have over-farmed to the point that lower-level soil is poisoned and water is undrinkable. The Philippines is just plain dirty. West Virginia did so much strip mining that many places are uninhabitable. Where my mom grew up, they still can’t drink the tap water, decades after the mines have shut down.

Glad to educate you. Your turn.

Back in Matthew 24 Jesus said that the temple would be totally destroyed and not one stone would be left on top of another.

I figure people are still taking down the temple and spreading the stones.

That's all I got for a biblical answer.

Seems like a great answer. Wonder why our resident religion genius couldn't come up with that?
