Ah-MAZing!

It really needs to be seen at the theater because it's a hyooge movie, IMAX preferably. Cynthia Erivo will almost certainly be nominated for an Oscar, and will probably win, as will a lot of the production people. I was prepared to tolerate Ariana Grande but she's the perfect Galinda. It was almost 3 hours long and I was in a reclining seat. That's a nap waiting to happen but I was entertained the whole way through and rushed to the bathroom during Fiyero's song so I wouldn't miss anything good.

If you've seen the stage production you'll be blown away.

I can't wait for part 2, which happens to come out on my birthday next year.

Glad to hear this! I'd like to see it and hope it measures up to the stage version. I've seen it once in Baltimore and twice in NYC. Maybe this weekend or wait for my new friend to go see it. He said he would.

I was thinking about you when I was watching because you will LOVE IT! It's faithful to the stage production but because it's a movie you get so much more.

I've never seen it and wondered what it was about! I don't know that I'll get to see it unless I get the GFs to go see it. Not sure he would go...

My youngest granddaughter, up till the age of 10 or 11, she's 21 now, used to love coming to spend the weekend with me and she would always want to watch the Wizard of Oz and I would make her a rootbeer float to sip on while watching it. She called me last week and said "Nanny we have got to see Wicked together and then go get a rootbeer float!!! Made me smile, that she remembers memories.
