Will the atheist go to hell?....

Faith is hard in this day and time. I'm not a Bible reader, mostly because I don't understand it. I'm one to just follow my gut. If it just doesn't sound like the thing to do, I probably shouldn't do it.

Our faith isn't tested and strengthened through good times. How does a tennis player become better by only playing people he knows he can beat?

I don't consider that faith. I consider that to be more chance than faith. In my mind, faith is knowing. It's like having faith in your spouse they won't cheat or lie to you. Your are never 100% sure and that percentage drops considerably when trust has been broken at some point and time in a person's life.

Points of view or opinions are important and WE ALL have them. But won't you agree there has to be a reference point? We can speculate about everything. We have to have some moral authority to which we can agree. The Bible is that benchmark or reference point. With out reading and tackling the issues in it we are left out in the wilderness floundering around at the whims of smooth talkers, telling us what we want to hear.....

Luckily... None of us mortals are God. I think it is stupid to judge.

I don’t consider it to be chance when you are tested in order to become better and stronger at something. I call that honing your skills. Your spouse cheating on you can break your trust in that person, but it doesn’t change the honest and faithful person you are, does it? In fact, it should make you even more honest and faithful. That’s the point.
