The rates probably go up after Memorial Day weekend. But wouldn't you think that more people would want to go to an indoor water park in the winter, as opposed to the summer, when they could just go to Water Country USA?
It was over $400 a night when we went over Christmas break. I think it went down to like $150 the week after. :ohwell:

The Best Western Patrick Henery Inn is pretty nice.

If you looking for cheap but decent the Quarterpath Inn isnt too bad.

We are going back in the fall for a long weekend- and wanted to know of some good places to stay, eat, and visit. Of course- most of you know- our stay 3 years ago- SUCKED. That includes the hotel and ect.

We are going down with another couple- and we decided- that if we can get a suit- where there is a possibility of a divided room or something- that would work better- instead of two rooms- unless it was just that much cheaper to do 2 rooms.

Recommendations of anything. Never been to jamestown- is it worth it? We like the history and the old parts of the area. Also- is there anywhere else we should check out?
Water, we're back from our Williamsburg trip. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge and had a great time! The lodge is huge and includes an indoor water park and outside pool area. There is also a 7000 sq. ft. arcade, AVEDA day spa, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Krispy Creme, Build a Bear Workshop and bar/grille inside the lodge. It is expensive, but nice. The service was a little slow but we still had a good time.

Unfortunately, we didn't do any of the historic Williamsburg stuff though that would have been nice. Let me know if you want more information on the lodge. The rooms were cozy and spacious, though not private enough for two couples if you wanted to get busy.

we went in January, it was the best time I have had on vacation in a long time, so we are going back the end of this month, it is a bit expensive, but it is so nice to have everything right there, and the kids love it, when we went my boys just went up in the tree house and played for hours, we sat and had some beers and enjoyed a conversation, usually our vacations seem like they are a lot more work than fun, so I am willing to pay a little more so I can enjoy our vacation too. Last time we went the outdoor water area wasn't open so that should be interesting for us.

Now that it is open, it is packed. I had more fun inside than I did outside; and I'm usually the first one in the lounge chair trying to get my sun on! The outside tiki bar is S-L-O-W, so if you want a drink, it's probably easier to go inside.

that sounds crappy, yes I think I will stay inside too, it will probably be easier, are the doors to the outside part in the indoor area?
